My ex-flatmate left this book here and I remembered reading a good half dozen of the author's novels as a child: sci-fi, crimi, ya as well as a couple of non-fiction. The man is insanely prolific snd uses several pseudonyms, so even more prolific than most fans would imagine. I remembered him as a rather mediocre writer but this one about secret societies in Hungary was downright awful, a waste of time and a waste of paper. Some 10-15 would have been enough for what he typed 200 pages. No references to sources, lots of exclamations instead and very, very poor writing. Poor Nemere, he should retire, really. Yeah, and his being a damn progressive leftist idiot just drove me up on the wall.
